Train Operator

Operate the train safely and efficiently, give safety speeches at the beginning and end of each ride, assist guests with general information, ticket handling, and upsell opportunities. The role combines Train Operator duties with Guest Services Part-Time responsibilities, including maintaining a clean, safe work environment, handling admissions and ride tickets, helping with field trips, and following Zoo policies. No formal education or experience required; valid Driver’s License required. The position is part-time with potential overtime and outdoors work up to 8 hours at a time. The train operates seasonally (closed in winter) with re-opening in spring; job is based in Salt Lake City, Utah. Utah’s Hogle Zoo emphasizes wildlife conservation and guest satisfaction.
