Job Summary
Inspect, diagnose, and repair commercial trailers and components including brakes, suspension, electrical systems, and welding/fabrication work. Perform preventative maintenance inspections, adjust brakes to proper torque, and operate tools safely while maintaining accurate documentation. Ensure repairs meet quality standards and communicate status to leadership. This role requires working in a fast-paced service environment with physical demands including lifting up to 75 pounds and varying temperatures. Candidates must follow OSHA procedures and adapt to limited supervision based on tier level. We are a leader in heavy-duty transportation with five divisions, offering a 24-hour mobile repair service and full-line dealership support.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of trailer systems and repair procedures
- Ability to safely perform brake, suspension, hub, wheel end, and structural repairs
- Ability to read and follow repair procedures and work instructions
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to identify safety concerns and correct deficiencies
- Basic mechanical and troubleshooting abilities
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision based on technician tier level
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, squat, crawl, climb, and lift throughout the workday
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds regularly
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and shop environments
- Ability to safely use shop equipment, tools, and machinery
- Ability to wear required PPE
Desired Qualifications
- Vocational training in automotive or diesel technology
- Relevant certifications (e.g., ASE, OEM certifications)
- Welding and fabrication experience
