Trailer Technician

Job Summary
Trailer Technician performs DOT and PM inspections on trailers, conducts all trailer preventative maintenance and repair, labels warranty parts with cause of failure, mileage, and removal date, maintains clean work areas, completes repair orders with accurate labor and parts charges, inputs vehicle information via basic computer skills, handles trailer electrical work, tests equipment, repairs tires, and welds/fabricates steel and aluminum as needed. Requires a one-year certificate from college/technical school or ASE Diesel Certification, or 3–6 months related experience, and a valid driver’s license; ASE Diesel Certification is an asset and a CDL is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- ASE Diesel Certification or one year certificate from college or technical school; three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Current valid driver's license
- Preferred CDL License
- Experience as Diesel Mechanic (1 year) is preferred
