Job Summary
Trailer Technician responsibilities include DOT & PM inspections on trailers, trailer preventative maintenance and repair, tagging warranty parts with cause of failure, mileage and removal date, maintaining clean work areas, completing repair orders with labor and parts charges, basic computer input for vehicle information and diagnosis, trailer electrical work, testing equipment, tire repair, welding and fabrication of steel and aluminum as needed, and performing additional duties or special projects; preferred qualifications include 1 year experience as a Diesel Mechanic and ASE Diesel Certification or valid CDL license.
Required Qualifications
- One year certificate from college or technical school
- ASE Diesel Certification
- three to six months related experience and/or training
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- must have current valid driver's license
