Job Summary
Diagnose failures and perform repairs on mechanical, electrical, or other systems on tank trailers. Conduct tank service, repair suspension components, and maintain air brake systems. Fit through tank trailer manholes and work in confined spaces to inspect equipment in alignment with DOT standards (HM183, hazmat). TIG aluminum, stainless, or carbon welding experience is optional. Shift runs Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. DOT inspection certification and tank trailer repair experience are required.
Required Qualifications
- DOT inspection certified
- tank trailer repair experience
- Demonstrated skill in most of the following areas: The ability to diagnose failures and make repairs on mechanical, electrical or other various systems on a tank trailer
- Tank service and repair
- Trailer suspension installation and repair
- Experience with air brake systems and repairs
- Ability to effectively and efficiently inspect tanks and trailers to align with DOT standards (HM183, hazmat)
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- With assistance, occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
- Must be able to fit through a tank trailer manhole
- Must be able to work in confined spaces
