Job Summary
Perform maintenance service on 48ft. and 53ft. dry van trailers, repairing suspension, landing gear, wheel, brake, electrical, and frame components. Execute preventative maintenance inspections, perform service calls, and road test vehicles to ensure repair quality. Maintain welding and metal fabrication skills while washing and fueling equipment. Record all work and labor in the EMS system and collaborate with the Parts Department to manage inventory levels. Adhere to EPA, DOT, and OSHA safety regulations while keeping the shop environment clean and compliant.
Required Qualifications
- Possess a valid Driver's License
- Basic math skills
- Fluent in English
- Legally eligible to work in the United States
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Able to pass a drug screen
- Fundamental understanding of repairing and rebuilding components on 48ft. and 53ft. dry van trailers
- Able to thoroughly perform Preventative Maintenance inspections and repairs
- Maintains a high level of welding and metal fabrication skills
- Road tests vehicles to ensure quality repair services were performed
- Proficient in recording all work and labor on a computer in the EMS system
- Works in compliance to EPA regulations as well as DOT and company safety requirements

- Works with the Parts Department to assure that all necessary materials, parts, service and shop supplies are maintained at proper quantity levels
- Performs other maintenance duties or assignments when necessary
