Job Summary
Perform maintenance service on 48ft. and 53ft. dry van trailers, repairing suspension, landing gear, wheel, brake, electrical, and frame components. Execute preventative maintenance inspections and repairs, maintain welding and metal fabrication skills, and conduct road tests to verify quality. Perform service calls, wash and fuel equipment, and record all work and labor in the EMS system. Collaborate with the Parts Department to ensure proper inventory levels and maintain a clean, safe environment compliant with OSHA, EPA, and DOT standards. Assist junior technicians and perform other maintenance assignments as necessary. Requires a valid Driver's License and CDL.
Required Qualifications
- Possess a valid Driver's License
- Basic math skills
- Fluent in English
- Able to pass a drug screen
- Dependent upon having a CDL

- Has a fundamental understanding of repairing and rebuilding components on 48ft. and 53ft. dry van trailers
- Maintains a high level of welding and metal fabrication skills
- Consistently positive attitude, interacting courteously and professionally with fellow employees

- Be a leading participant in the care and upkeep of the shop, the grounds and all equipment and tools
- Maintains a clean, safe environment that complies to OSHA and company standards
- Proficient in recording all work and labor on a computer in the EMS system
- Works in compliance to EPA regulations as well as DOT and company safety requirements
