Job Summary
Diagnose and repair tractors and trailers, and perform annual/systematic 90-day inspections on equipment. Ensure equipment meets Federal FHWA standards and operate a yard hostler truck as needed. Maintain a clean, organized work environment while adhering to safety and environmental policies. Utilize welding equipment and perform miscellaneous duties as assigned. Candidates should be able to learn vehicle and equipment repair principles and demonstrate an understanding of DOT rules and regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Able to learn and demonstrate vehicle and equipment theory, principles and repair relating to diesel engines, air, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
- Able to learn and demonstrate tractor and trailer maintenance, DOT rules and regulations, company policies and procedures.
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma, completion of G.E.D., or equivalent vocational school preferred, but not required.
- Experience diagnosing and repairing tractors and trailers.
- Dynamic, ambitious and engaged team player.
