Job Summary
Oversee regular maintenance of mountain bike trails and BMX tracks, driving trails on UTVs and bikes to ensure safe rideability while using all mandated safety equipment. Assist in daily opening and closing of wheels program areas, maintain accurate supply inventory, and perform additional duties assigned by leadership. Model the Scout Oath and Law in daily interactions, keeping work areas clean, organized, and safe. Requires 1+ year of trail maintenance experience, a Summit Driving Permit, and ability to stand, walk, and bike up to 9 hours daily with a 50-pound lift capacity. Work hours are 45-55, with housing provided in Staff Camp.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum age: 18+
- 1+ yr. experience maintaining trails, tracks, or features
- Able to obtain the Summit Driving Permit
- Willing to become a registered Scouting America member (includes background screening)
- Comfortable using Microsoft Teams for daily work-related communication
- Ability to stand, walk, and bike up to 9 hours daily
- Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds
