Job Summary
Traffic Technician I performs a range of duties to enhance highway safety and traffic efficiency, including traffic control, signing, and pavement marking; deploys and retrieves temporary work zone traffic zones, speed monitors, and variable message boards; installs and maintains pavement markings and permanent traffic control signage; assists with sight distance measurements and basic traffic signal housekeeping; and supports documentation, inventory, and procurement as directed. Strong oral and written communication skills are required.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or vocational/technical school training and two years of related experience.
