Job Summary
Traffic Supervisor responsible for developing and implementing traffic control plans, directing all traffic operations on-site, coordinating with subcontractors, documenting traffic measures and activities, and ensuring compliance with federal, provincial, and local laws and OH&S. Will oversee traffic personnel, liaise with municipalities and contracting authorities, monitor transit-related impacts, prepare and interpret traffic plans, and contribute to safety, efficiency, and orderly movement of vehicular, cyclist, and pedestrian traffic on site. Requires on-site experience, BSc/Degree or Diploma in related field, 3-5 years, proficiency in Excel, knowledge of OHSA and Ontario regulations, and a valid Ontario driver’s license; experience with AutoCAD/MicroStation/Bentley is preferred. Required Qualifications
- BSc in Civil Engineering, or Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Construction, Traffic Management or in a related field
- 3-5 years of on-site experience in construction/traffic related field
- Proficient in Excel (Microsoft Office)
- Knowledge of OHSA and Ontario Traffic Manual: Book 7 (Temporary Conditions) and Highway Traffic Act and regulations
- Valid Driver’s License (G) in the Province of Ontario
- Experience with AutoCAD, MicroStation, and Bentley preferred
- Ability to develop and interpret traffic plans, schedules, and action plans
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
