Job Summary
Hands-on installation, repair, and maintenance of traffic signal and ITS equipment to ensure safe, reliable operation. Tasks include inspecting, testing, splicing, and replacing components (LED modules, cables, loop detectors, fixtures), servicing CCTV, MVDS, and DMS, troubleshooting circuits and communications, reading plans and wiring diagrams, and responding to on-site malfunctions. Must read blueprints, use tools (voltmeters, oscilloscopes, splicing tools), collaborate with crew and management, and uphold safety standards. Strong technical knowledge of signals, controllers, detection systems, and ITS equipment; electrical/mechanical aptitude; problem-solving; and ability to work independently or with a field crew. DOT physical and drug screening required; IMSA Level II/III and IMSA Safety certifications preferred; 3+ years’ experience preferred.
