Job Summary
Traffic Signal Technician responsible for the construction, maintenance and repair of traffic signal systems and highway lighting, including on-call emergency maintenance, preventive maintenance, and cabinet installation. Assists Foreman with supervision and training of subordinate employees; ensures certifications and licenses are maintained; communicates with customers and other contractors. Skills include programming and setting up controllers, video detection, communications equipment; troubleshooting; use of test equipment (multimeter, loop analyzer, locator, controller tester, monitor tester); reading plans and schematics; intermediate computer proficiency; ability to perform heavy physical work in varying weather; adherence to safety rules and PPE requirements.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must possess and maintain valid driver’s license
- IMSA Traffic Signal Level II Field Construction Certification
- Must maintain a valid medical card if you have a CDL driver’s license and be insurable under Company policies
