Job Summary
Program Manager oversees the statewide Traffic Safety training program funded through a grant from the Arkansas Highway Safety Office (AHSO). Leads the administration, coordination, and execution of the program, providing leadership for law enforcement training in impaired driving enforcement, SFST, and DRE; ensures compliance with grant requirements; supervises program personnel; and serves as the liaison between the Criminal Justice Institute, AHSO, and law enforcement agencies. Requires bachelor’s degree in criminal justice or related field, 5+ years of experience in law enforcement/training/grant management, and willingness to travel statewide for training events; master’s degree and law enforcement instructor certification (CLEST or equivalent) preferred. Must have strong leadership, communication, and data-management skills; ensure alignment with NHTSA curricula and standards; and participate in program development and reporting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, public administration, or a related field (master’s degree preferred)
- Five years or more experience supervising staff and managing complex projects
- Experience managing grants or federally funded programs
- Knowledge of impaired driving enforcement, SFST, ARIDE, and DRE programs
- Certification as a law enforcement instructor (CLEST or equivalent) (preferred)
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Travel statewide for training events and program delivery
