Job Summary
Design traffic data models for the US Space Force SDA GMI program by decomposing requirements into satellite constellation to ground network flow simulations. Schedule and track missiles using pre-planned or ad-hoc satellite services while analyzing tracking data to validate models. Identify opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation in ground operational systems. This role supports the Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture within a cross-functional team developing state-of-the-art ground entry points and operations centers. Work involves systems engineering, integration, testing, and maintenance of infrastructure management capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field
- 5+ years of job-related experience
- Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience
- Department of Defense TOP SECRET security clearance
- Ability to obtain a TOP SECRET with Polygraph eligibility
- U.S. citizenship
- U.S. Government security investigation eligibility
- Agile experience
Desired Qualifications
- Recent modeling of communication data, preferably using satellite constellations and ground networks
- Recent Satellite to Ground RF communication protocol experience
- End to end packet prioritization and routing experience
- Traffic modeling experience
- Recent experience with missile tracking systems design and architecture
- Sensor fusion techniques
- Knowledge of cloud technologies and their application in system design and deployment
- Experience with image processing (collection, handling, storing, and analysis)
