Job Summary
Oversee all traffic management methods including priority, stop/go boards, portable signals, convoy working, road closures, and lane diversions. Ensure work adheres to safe methods, best practices, and legislation such as the Red Book and Chapter 8. Conduct risk assessments, method statements, and daily vehicle checks for cleanliness and safety. Assist the public with site direction, report unsafe conditions immediately, and rectify issues when competent. Drive safely within speed limits while maintaining full PPE compliance. Work flexible shifts including days, nights, and weekends as required. Maintain high health and safety standards throughout all activities.
Required Qualifications
- You must be able to work both days and nights, including some weekends as required
- You must have a can do and responsible attitude to work
- Lantra 12d accreditation as a minimum TTMBC, 12d (M1-M2)
- Full valid UK driving licence
- Be able to read and understand CAD drawings, in relation to the works required
- Provide evidence that you understand the differences between Chapter 8 and the Safety at Street Works and Road Works (red book) and how these apply
- Only undertake Traffic Management activities that you have the qualification to undertake (LANTRA)
