Job Summary
Conduct traffic engineering and project management tasks for transportation planning, transit, safety, and concept development projects across diverse clients. Manage projects profitably through hands-on delivery, transition work to qualified staff, and mentor others while contributing to marketing and business development efforts. Collaborate with industry professionals, jurisdictions, and contractors to build professional relationships and pursue personal leads. Requires 6+ years of experience in transportation planning, traffic engineering, and design, along with a Professional Engineering License. Based in Kimley-Horn's West Palm Beach office, this role offers an entrepreneurial environment with robust benefits including a 2-to-1 retirement match and flexible scheduling.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of relevant engineering experience in transportation planning, traffic engineering and design, traffic operations, and/or ITS planning and design
- Professional Engineering (P.E.) License (or ability to obtain within 12 months)
- This is not a remote position
Desired Qualifications
- Proficiency in Synchro, HCS, and/or Vissim software applications desired
