Job Summary
Prepare traffic impact studies, safety studies, and simulation models including roadway and intersection capacity analysis, signal retiming, access assessments, and crash assessments. Perform calculations and maintain familiarity with applicable access permit requirements, FDOT traffic guides, Land Development Codes, and local traffic codes. Communicate with project teams, clients, and agencies while conducting project site visits and roadway inventories as needed. Attend external meetings and ensure compliance with all relevant standards. Requires familiarity with Highway Capacity Software and Synchro, with Vissim and CUBE being advantageous. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with two to five years of Florida traffic experience and ability to obtain PE registration within five years of graduation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- Two to five years of experience with Florida traffic impact studies, queue analysis, development trip generation, and FDOT Access Control
- Must have the experience and working knowledge of HCS and Synchro
- Must have the ability to obtain PE Registration within five years of graduation
- Must pass mandatory DMV check
