Job Summary
Lead traffic engineering and ITS services for IDOT and other clients within the Great Lakes Division by managing diverse, complex projects including signal design, timing development, lighting analysis, and capacity studies. Actively manage schedule, scope, and budget as part of a multi-disciplinary team while preparing reports, specifications, and designs. Administer quality management plans, perform detailed reviews of deliverables, and mentor junior engineering associates. Assist in business development through client discovery, proposal generation, and win-to-work activities. Work a hybrid schedule in St Charles, IL.
Required Qualifications
- ABET accredited bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- PE Licensure
- Minimum 7 years of engineering experience including proven technical leadership (decision-making on technical matters)
- Experience with IDOT specifications and procedures
- Proficiency with OpenRoads Designer, AutoCAD Civil3D, HCS, Synchro, Sidra, VISSIM and/or HSM procedures
- Possess strong oral and written communication skills and can effectively interact and build strong relationships with team members, clients, and other key stakeholders
Desired Qualifications
- Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) certification preferred
