Traffic Controller- San Francisco

Traffic Controller responsibilities include placing, maintaining, and removing traffic control devices per MUTCD; respond to Dispatch Center calls in a timely manner; coordinate with TMI Dispatcher; inspect and maintain all equipment; perform pre-job inspections and inventory; load equipment; navigate to job sites; set up cones, signs, barricades, and water-filled barriers; flag traffic to ensure a safe work zone for customers, employees, and the public; coordinate with customers and the dispatcher to ensure safe, efficient service; complete required paperwork and time-sheets by deadlines; report unsafe conditions to a supervisor. Equipment operated includes vehicles, flatbed trucks, trailers, cones, delineators, drums, barricades, signs, and other traffic control devices. Essential physical requirements include standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and outdoor exposure. Education: High School Diploma (or equivalent); valid driver’s license with a clean record. Preferred candidate must score 70% or better on pre-employment testing. The role requires MUTCD knowledge, English communication skills, and the ability to work in a team environment to maintain a positive work environment.
