Job Summary
Traffic Control personnel safely direct pedestrians and vehicular traffic for Arlington National Cemetery. They perform visitor traffic control at various positions throughout ANC during operating hours, remain at their designated area of responsibility until relieved by others, and provide brief information or directions to prevent traffic delays and public safety risks. The role requires standing/walking long distances outdoors in all weather, English fluency, and state licenses/certifications for equipment/vehicles used in the contract.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years of work experience involving vehicle/pedestrian traffic operations
- Understanding of safety with regards to vehicular and pedestrian traffic
- Ability to walk throughout the facility and stand constantly
- Ability to function outdoors in all types of weather
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Possess required state motor vehicle licenses or certifications for operating equipment and vehicles used in this contract
