Job Summary
Supervise flaggers and implement field adjustments to Traffic Control Plans while ensuring federal, state, and local standards are met across highways, municipal roads, and rural sites. Perform traffic control and flagging activities, place warning devices, and maintain safe work areas under extreme weather conditions. Document work thoroughly in software and solve problems under pressure while adhering to all safety rules. Available M-F with early morning starts, plus nights and weekends as needed, with overtime opportunities. This apprenticeship includes six weeks of paid training and ongoing development for future career growth within AWP Safety.
Required Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Acceptable driving record
- Possess safe driving habits
- Able to work in extreme weather conditions when required and necessary
- Able to problem solve and work under pressure
- Able to stand for long periods of time and meet other physical demands of the job
- Must be physically able to repetitively lift and carry at least 75 pounds on a regular basis
- Able to document work thoroughly and clearly in various software
- Available to work M-F (starting early in the morning), plus overtime
- Available to work nights and weekends when required and necessary
- Pre-employment drug screen
- Excellent communication skills
- Possess 2 forms of valid ID
- Hands-on, self-sufficient and demonstrates a positive, can-do attitude
- Must be physically able to repetitively lift and carry at least 75 lbs on a regular basis
Desired Qualifications
- Outdoor working or construction experience preferred
