Job Summary
Traffic Control Supervisor responsible for overseeing traffic control operations on road and highway construction projects; set up and maintain temporary traffic control in work zones, use traffic control devices to divert drivers/pedestrians, monitor road repairs, and supervise teams installing equipment. Coordinate and inspect traffic control set-ups for conformance with approved traffic control plans, MUTCD guidelines, and local requirements; ensure safety and regulatory compliance (DOT/FMCSA). Operate company trucks and MOT/TMA vehicles to relocate materials and protect workers; place signs, cones, barriers, and delineators; manage field personnel and liaise with dispatch. Requires travel, DOT-related duties, strong communication skills, and a valid TCS certification with ATSSA/CCA certifications; per diem paid. Must wear PPE and comply with safety policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or related discipline
- Traffic Control Supervisor Certification (CCA or ATSSA)
- Active ATSSA or CCA TCS certification
- 2 years’ experience in traffic control
- Experience in construction site traffic control or utility distribution
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid State Driver’s License within two weeks of employment
- Pass criminal and MVR background checks
- Pre-employment drug screen
- Willing to travel
