Job Summary
Transport traffic control equipment safely to roadway and utility projects using company trucks and trailers. Set up, maintain, and remove temporary work zones per MnDot, NDDOT, and MUTCD standards while performing daily vehicle and equipment inspections. Maintain the Fargo traffic control yard by assembling Type 1 flashers, replacing batteries, filling sandbags, and organizing inventory. Work independently while maintaining communication with supervisors and dispatch, completing all required paperwork accurately and on time. Respond to on-call and weekend assignments as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to lift 50
- Work outdoors in all seasons
- Reliable and self motivated
- Ability to work independently
- Must have good written and verbal communication skills
- Must have good employee and customer relationship skills
- Must have the ability to coordinate several tasks at once and work under strict guidelines
- Valid driver's license and clean driving
- Willingness to be on-call which may include working some weekends
Desired Qualifications
- CDL preferred but not required
- Prior experience in traffic control, equipment maintenance, or construction is preferred
