Job Summary

Coordinate work zone setups and enforce safety regulations on heavy civil and highway construction projects. Lead teams of flaggers and technicians while reading blueprints to plan work, scheduling materials and equipment for the crew. Conduct daily huddles to establish production goals, record events in job diaries, and track daily quantities. Train and mentor crew members, communicate with customer representatives and inspectors, and submit crew SIPs and quantity reports to the site Foreperson. Operate surveying instruments and pile driving equipment as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university OR one year of related experience and/or training
  • 3-5 years of related construction, flagging or MPT experience
  • Ability to read blueprints and job-related documents
  • Ability to operate surveying instrument, shoot elevations and straight lines
  • Experience with pile driving and drilling equipment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated leadership ability
  • Problem solving
  • Basic computer skills including internet, email, and the use of digital cameras for work documentation
  • Driver's license and clean driving record
  • Ability to travel as required for projects
  • Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed
  • Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch or crawl
  • Ability to use hands to finger, handle, feel; reach with hands and arms
  • Ability to talk and hear
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
