Job Summary
Set up and maintain safe temporary traffic control work zones while guiding traffic safely through active job sites using appropriate equipment and communication. Control traffic flow to protect motorists, pedestrians, and clients, working as part of a team to ensure safety and efficiency. Assist Crew Leaders in establishing and maintaining work zones across the eastern United States. This role requires standing for 8-12 hours, walking 1-2 miles daily, and lifting up to 50 lbs in various outdoor conditions. You must hold a valid driver's license, maintain a satisfactory driving record, and be available Monday through Friday from 6 AM to late afternoon.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable personal vehicle
- Ability to drive themselves to and from job sites
- Satisfactory driving record that meets company vehicle driving requirements
- Availability Monday–Friday (as early as 6AM – late afternoon)
- Physical endurance – Ability to stand for 8-12 hours
- Ability to walk 1-2 miles per day
- Ability to lift up to 30-50 lbs
- Ability to work outdoors in various conditions
- Commitment to safety, teamwork, and reliability
- Ability to obtain steel-toe or composite-toe boots that lace above the ankles and are at least 6′′ in height
- Ability to obtain Approved two-way radios
