Job Summary
Set up and maintain safe temporary traffic control work zones while guiding traffic safely through active zones using appropriate equipment and communication. Control traffic flow to protect motorists, pedestrians, and clients, working as part of a team to ensure safety and efficiency on job sites. Gain hands-on experience in the traffic control industry by assisting Crew Leaders in setting up and maintaining work zones across the eastern United States. This essential role directly contributes to public safety and infrastructure development while providing opportunities for advancement into leadership positions.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable personal vehicle
- Employees must be able to drive themselves to and from job sites
- Satisfactory driving record that meets company vehicle driving requirements
- Verified through a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) Review
- Availability Monday–Friday (as early as 6AM – late afternoon)
- Physical endurance – Ability to stand for 8-12 hours
- Ability to walk 1-2 miles per day
- Ability to lift up to 30-50 lbs
- Ability to work outdoors in various conditions
- Commitment to safety, teamwork, and reliability
- Obtain steel-toe or composite-toe boots that lace above the ankles and are at least 6′′ in height
- Approved two-way radios
