Job Summary
Set up cones, signs, and barricades; operate stop/slow paddle to guide traffic; monitor job-site activity and follow safety rules learned in training; communicate with crew and supervisor; keep vehicles and equipment clean and safe; work outdoors year-round in all weather; shifts may include nights, weekends, or emergency work; stand or walk 8–12 hours per shift; PPE provided; bring steel-toe boots. Requires valid driver’s license, ability to stand/walk outdoors, and ability to lift 40–50 pounds. Pre-hire screening including drug test required. Paid training and a traffic safety certificate offered; overtime available; potential for promotions to Senior Protector, Lead Protector, Field Supervisor, or Manager. Equal opportunity employer.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license
- Able to stand, walk, and work outside for long periods (8-12 hours)
- Able to lift 40–50 pounds
- Willing to work in traffic and changing weather
- Must pass pre-hire screening, including a drug test
- Flexible schedule; ability to work nights/weekends or emergency shifts
- Safe operation and use of traffic control equipment
- Ability to communicate with crew and supervisor
