Job Summary
Traffic Control Flagger position responsible for setting up cones, signs, and barricades and guiding traffic with a stop/slow paddle at job sites. Outdoor, weather-dependent role requiring physical endurance to stand/walk for long periods, ability to lift 40–50 pounds, and compliance with safety rules learned in training. Training provided with paid certification, overtime possible, and benefits including PTO, holidays, health insurance, and 401(k). Roles progress to Senior Protector, Lead Protector, Field Supervisor, and Manager depending on career growth. Based in Knoxville, TN with potential night/weekend/emergency shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license
- Able to stand, walk, and work outside for long periods
- Able to lift 40–50 pounds
- Willing to work in traffic and changing weather
- Flexible schedule; Show up on time, every shift
- Must pass pre-hire screening, including a drug test (safety sensitive job)
- Stay alert around moving traffic and follow all safety rules all the time
- Treat coworkers, clients, and the public with respect
