Job Summary
Set up and tear down construction zones using cones and signs to direct traffic, while overseeing lane closures and maintaining compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Control vehicle, pedestrian, and construction traffic safely through work zones using two-way radios and Stop/Slow paddles, performing all duties based on site plans and contractor directions without direct supervision. Work any shift or weekend, standing 8-12 hours daily in all weather conditions while lifting up to 50 lbs. Requires a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and steel-toe boots. Available to work Monday through Friday with Saturdays as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Strong verbal and non-verbal communication skills
- Ability to read and write
- Good eye-hand coordination
- Ability to quickly respond appropriately to unexpected events
- Current and valid driver's license
- Reliable transportation
- Available to work any shift and/or weekends
- Ability to stand 8-12 hours per day
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work in all types of weather conditions
- Steel-toe or composite toe boots
- Boots must be above the ankle
- Pre-employment drug screening
