Job Summary
Control and direct traffic and pedestrians at construction sites to ensure safe and efficient vehicle flow. Set up traffic control signs, cones, and barriers to redirect traffic away from work areas. Stop traffic whenever required by work progress or keep traffic moving at reduced speeds to avoid delays. Communicate with drivers and pedestrians to provide instructions and ensure compliance with traffic regulations. Coordinate with other traffic control personnel to ensure a smooth flow of traffic. Maintain a safe work environment with protocols and proper protective equipment while working outdoors for long hours. This role supports Valard Construction's utility and EPC+ projects across Canada.
Required Qualifications
- Prior flagging / traffic control experience
- Class 5 driver's license with clean abstract
- Physically fit, willing / able to work outdoors for long hours
- Comfortable working in and around traffic and pedestrians
- CSTS training
- Legal authorization to work in Canada with no restrictions
