Job Summary
Ensure the appropriate number of cars remains on location throughout shifts, parking vehicles correctly and maintaining lot cleanliness. Control traffic at entrances and exits as needed while courteously answering customer questions. Report accidents, policy violations, safety hazards, or unusual occurrences to the Facility or Senior Manager, and communicate debris, water, or oil spills immediately. Maintain knowledge of major streets, landmarks, and freeways in the area. Assist the Facility or Senior Manager with other duties as needed. This role supports SP+'s checkout-free parking experience across over 4,000 locations in North America and Europe.
Required Qualifications
- Less than High School education or one month related experience, training or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Valid state-issued driver's license, with a current address and acceptable driving record
- Availability to work 2nd shift, 3rd shift and/or week-ends
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations to customers and other employees of the company
- Ability to add, subtract, two digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
- Ability to perform these operations using units of American money
- Ability to stand
- Ability to walk
- Ability to use hands to handle cash and equipment
- Ability to sit
- Ability to climb or balance
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Neat and clean appearance
- Complete uniform
