Job Summary
Traffic Agent responsible for gathering international documentation and arranging domestic delivery to destination. Creates traffic files, ensures Bill of Lading submission when required, coordinates with Client Import Analyst and external parties for missing documents, and verifies customs releases and steamship releases. Maintains relationships with clients, transport companies, and warehouses; tracks shipments to prevent storage/demurrage issues; processes emails and imports live shipment data for clearance; completes delivery orders and arranges pickup; handles freight/terminal payments as needed. Skills include familiarity with customs release, international transportation, MS Office, negotiation, client service, strong verbal and written communication, telephone etiquette, organization, time management, and problem-solving. Requires 1 year of experience and High School/GED or equivalent. Location: Halifax, NS (CN013), Canada.
