Job Summary
Assist patrons and students with learning traditional crafts such as leatherwork, beading, weaving, and sewing. Help plan, coordinate, and supervise after-school, weekend, and summer program activities to engage learners. Provide friendly, professional assistance during classes to ensure participation and stay engaged. Support the Education Director and staff with library needs and student/adult programming as available. Submit timesheets to ensure accurate pay for hours worked. Requires manual dexterity for computer tasks and the ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of a Traditional Craft
- Willingness to teach to class groups
- Ability to work with students and others in a kind manner
- Manual dexterity to enter and retrieve data from a computer
- Ability to sit and stand for long periods
- Ability to bend and stoop regularly
- Ability to lift and move boxes up to 25 lbs
