Job Summary
Traditional Art Instructor to deliver a 10-session after-school enrichment course on-site at a Newark-area partner school. Teach fundamentals of traditional visual art, progressing from line and shape to color, value, and composition, with opportunities for shading, perspective, and mixed media. Responsibilities include delivering one-hour sessions weekly across a 10-week cycle, differentiating instruction to meet varying skill levels, maintaining a safe inclusive studio environment, guiding portfolio development, and communicating attendance and session outcomes with site staff. Requirements include at least 60 college credits (or an Associate degree in progress/completed), experience with traditional art techniques, experience working with school-age students in structured settings, strong facilitation and communication skills, reliability, and the ability to manage materials and guide multi-step creative processes.
Required Qualifications
