Job Summary
Traditional Art Instructor needed for after-school, in-person program in Visalia. Deliver a 10-session, 1-hour-per-week course focusing on traditional visual art techniques (line, shape, color, composition) with grade-appropriate progression from foundational concepts to more advanced methods, including shading, perspective, and mixed media. Responsibilities include delivering engaging hands-on instruction, scaffolding projects, maintaining a safe and inclusive studio, differentiating instruction to support varying skill levels, supporting students in developing original work with iterative improvements, and communicating with site staff regarding attendance and session completion. Requires at least 60 college credits (or an Associate degree in progress/completed) and experience with traditional art techniques and working with school-age students in structured settings. Strong facilitation, professional communication, reliability, and materials management are essential.
Required Qualifications
