Trading Systems Support Engineer

Job Summary
Own critical incidents by identifying root causes, mitigating impact, and leading post-mortem reviews to prevent recurrence. Ensure the seamless operation of distributed, multi-server trading systems and provide hands-on trade floor support to the trading teams. Oversee UAT coordination and production software releases while collaborating with Operations and Development to troubleshoot complex production issues. Design and implement robust monitoring and logging solutions, and automate workflows through scripting to drive operational excellence. Engage in occasional after-hours support and testing as required. Based in Hong Kong, this role supports the global Infrastructure and Technology Service team at a top-tier proprietary trading firm.
Required Qualifications
- A degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
- At least 3 years of experience in a trading support or similar technical role
- Proficiency with Linux environments and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl, or PHP)
- Exceptional communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- A passion for automation and building scalable, standards-based solutions
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced trading environment
