Job Summary
Pragmatic and commercially oriented Reliability Engineer with strong C++ development skills to join QRT’s trading systems team. Design, implement, and maintain scalable and reliable systems; monitor performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation; collaborate with development teams to improve system reliability and performance; develop and implement automation tools to streamline operations; ensure security and compliance standards are met; provide technical support and guidance to other teams. Key technical focus includes C++ development (Python or C# a plus), monitoring and logging tools, and experience with low-latency market data or order entry systems in a finance environment. The role emphasizes reliability in a global quantitative trading context, with a focus on high standards of performance and resilience in the financial industry.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in site reliability engineering or a similar role
- Strong understanding of system architecture and cloud technologies
- Proficiency in C++ development
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Commercially oriented mindset with a focus on business outcomes
- Experience working on the buy side is a significant positive
- Experience with low latency order entry or market data systems is highly desirable (not required)
