Trading System Data Specialist

Job Summary
Deliver flawless production support, software deployment, and configuration while maintaining and enhancing internal scripting and scraping tools for proprietary trading systems. Provide technical troubleshooting for mission-critical applications across multi-platform environments, resolving issues affecting trading operations with composure under high pressure. Perform proactive monitoring to anticipate and avoid issues before they occur, utilizing regex, JSONPath, and API integrations to support data extraction and validation. This role requires availability to work multiple schedules on a rotation, including nights and early mornings, within a dynamic trading environment that challenges consensus and demands rapid pivots.
Required Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years working in an application support or development role
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals (multicast, TCP, routing)
- Experience working in Linux and/or Windows environments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and common front-end concepts
- Ability to write, test and troubleshoot regular expressions (regex) for parsing, validation and data extraction
- Familiarity with browser developer tools, DOM inspection and web page structure to support scripting/scraping tools
- Working knowledge of JSONPath expressions, API integrations and Docker containers
- A client-focused, service- minded approach and a strong sense of urgency
- The ability to learn quickly and a passion for new technologies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle high pressure and time constraints with composure
- Strong organizational skills, including the ability to effectively plan and prioritize
- Availability to work multiple schedules on a rotation (nights / early mornings) if needed
Desired Qualifications
- Basic scripting skills (Such as; Python, PowerShell or Bash, etc.)
- Previous experience in financial markets or with financial trading applications
- Previous experience with configuration management tools such as Chef and Ansible
- Previous experience with monitoring suites such as Splunk, Kibana & Grafana
- Previous experience maintaining web automation, scraping or front-end tooling
