Job Summary
Lead BP's Trading Operations team in RPTE, ensuring smooth, compliant, and high-performance trading operations across a large geographic region. Drive front-office and cross-regional coordination, manage budgets, organise team meetings and recruitment topics, and partner with bench leadership and origination to align operations with trading strategy. Oversee implementation of projects and continuous improvement initiatives, communicate key messages timely and professionally, and foster an inclusive, high-performing team culture while delivering operational KPIs. Requires strong leadership, oil trading operations expertise (cargo/barges), risk awareness, negotiation skills, and proven ability to build and maintain external and internal relationships. This role is a hybrid of office/remote working in London, UK.
Required Qualifications
- Strong skill in oil trading operations (cargo and/or barges)
- Proven track record in operational experience
- Understanding of risk, compliance, HSSE and Shipping requirements relating to operations
- Proven track record of delivering commercial value
- Strong leadership and communication skills including ability to motivate a team
- Strong team player
- Strong negotiation skills (formulating and implementing strategy)
- Ability to achieve operation and business goals through influencing, systematic planning and effective management of available resources
- Attention to operational detail
- Ability to find innovative solution to problems
- Proven track record of relationship building in front office environment and with external counterparties
- Willingness to speak up
