Job Summary
Trading Merchandise Assistant at JD Sports Merchandising – part of the Branch Merchandising team, you assist with day-to-day tasks to maximise sales and profit, including reviewing weekly sales performance, building stock packages, conducting store/group analyses, coordinating with the Merchandising team, handling IBT and Fast Track requests, compiling retail feedback, liaising on pricing/barcodes/scanners, and supporting quarterly product update packs. You’ll work across functions to communicate trading impacts and store status changes, establish collaborative relationships, and produce ad-hoc reports. Key skills include numeracy, commercial focus, systems literacy, organization, initiative, and strong communication and teamwork.
Required Qualifications
- Experience within a similar role is advantageous
- Experience within a sports/fashion retailer is advantageous
- Highly numerate and strong commercial focus
- Computer literate and ability to learn new systems
- Highly organised, good prioritisation and time management skills
- Self-motivated and a proactive worker
- Curious with a continuous learning mindset
