Job Summary
Build and maintain applications to support trading activities, such as creating analytics dashboards or back-testing novel ideas. Rotate through at least two desks to learn market making strategies in oil products and fundamental discretionary approaches in gas and power. Work onsite at the New York office five days a week under the mentorship of senior and junior traders. DV Commodities leverages world-class technology and proprietary capital to provide liquidity in energy and commodities markets. This summer 2027 internship offers strong exposure to senior leadership and cross-desk cooperation, with strong candidates considered for full-time roles upon graduation.
Required Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
- Expected to graduate by Summer 2028
- Strong interest in trading and model development
- High level of proficiency with Python
- High level of proficiency with Excel
- Strong work ethic
- Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced, high-pressure setting
- Demonstrated ability to learn and apply new concepts
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to work onsite at our New York office 5 days a week
