Job Summary
Senior Trading Desk Head responsible for leading the Equity Principal Trading desk, defining goals, and driving a client-centric product offering while managing risk and ensuring governance and controls. Key duties include developing and executing the business plan to meet revenue targets, building and managing a high-performing trading team, overseeing risk/infrastructure, coordinating with control functions for regulatory compliance, recruiting and retaining experienced hires and campus talent, optimizing resource allocation, guiding performance reviews and merit-based development, contributing to compensation decisions and talent mobility, and maintaining adherence to governance, ethics, and Code of Conduct across Global Markets. Requires leadership across Legal, Compliance, Risk, Audit, and Finance, strong communication, and a track record of successful trading book management. Education and licensing as listed, with Master’s degree preferred.
Required Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience in a related role
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
- Master’s degree preferred
- Licensing/registrations as applicable
- Proven history of successful trading book management
- In-depth knowledge of respective products and clients
