Job Summary
Trading Data & AI Analyst role in the EMEA Equity Trading team; own the AI and automation agenda for the desk, building AI-enabled tools to replace manual processes, and collaborating with Traders and Portfolio Managers to understand data needs and improve workflows. Responsibilities include analysing trading datasets with Python and AI tooling, surfacing trends and opportunities, modernising desk outputs to be automated and readable, demonstrating AI tooling to the team, contributing to an internal AI practice, and operating in a hybrid London-based environment. Requires a technical or quantitative degree (or equivalent experience), strong Python/AI development skills, AI proficiency (LLM tooling, prompt engineering, agentic workflows), numerical fluency with large datasets, delivery mindset, and 2-3+ years in a technical/analytics setting; participation in ongoing professional development and regulatory awareness is expected.
Required Qualifications
- A degree in a technical or quantitative discipline, or equivalent professional experience
- Python and AI-assisted development
- AI proficiency (prompt engineering, LLM-assisted analysis, agentic workflows, tool orchestration)
- Numerically sharp and able to work with large datasets
- Delivery mindset with ownership of end-to-end solutions
- Stakeholder communication and ability to explain technical trade-offs to non-technical audiences
- 2-3+ years in a technical, data or analytics environment
