Job Summary
Conduct daily landscape maintenance and facilities repairs for District-owned buildings and grounds at the Tampa Service Office. Perform construction tasks including carpentry, drywall, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and painting while using hand and power tools. Maintain the Brooksville campus to ensure a safe, clean environment and conduct emergency maintenance repairs as needed. Utilize computers for data entry and vehicle utilization. Work under the supervision of the Facilities Manager, serving as a self-starter capable of working alone or with a team. This role involves limited travel to other District facilities and requires adherence to a four-ten-hour day schedule.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent or vocational degree
- Valid driver's license
- Obtainment of IS-100, IS-200, IS-400 within one (1) year of hire
- Two (2) years' experience in building maintenance, grounds and landscaping maintenance, or related experience
- Obtainment of IS-100, IS-200, IS-400 within one (1) year of hire
- Valid driver's license
- Three (3) years' experience in building maintenance, grounds and landscaping maintenance, or related experience
- Obtainment of IS-100, IS-200, IS-400 within one (1) year of hire
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to lift and carry a 30 pound pack while walking up to 50% of the shift
- May be required to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Must be able to bend, squat, and climb on a regular basis
- Employee may be subject to call-in outside of regularly scheduled work hours, or required to be on call, including nights, weekends, or holidays to respond to emergency management activities or other incidents requiring rapid response in support of District operations
