Job Summary
Experienced Mechanical Fitter needed for SIMEC Iron Ore’s Ardrossan Dolomite operation in Ardrossan, SA. Full-time, Mon–Fri roster with maintenance on fixed crushing and screening plant, mobile surface mining equipment, and fabrication as required. Responsibilities include safe, professional maintenance, troubleshooting, and identifying continuous improvement opportunities; ability to perform planned and corrective maintenance; may involve heavy lifting and participation in competency-based training. Requires current trade qualifications and experience in mining or similar industry; Cert IV Mechanical Engineering - Fitter trade certificate preferred. Forklift, EWP, Dogging, Working at Heights and Confined Space tickets desirable. Local residence or close radius to Ardrossan preferred.

- Ability to live locally or within a close radius of Ardrossan
- Experience with conveyor belts, bearings, gear boxes, lubrication, alignment and fitting would be advantageous
