Job Summary
Mechanical Fitter in Downer Rail’s RTS OPS team in Maryborough, responsible for assembling rollingstock and associated components, overhauling passenger vehicle and locomotive bogies, servicing braking systems and pneumatic components, diagnosing faults across rollingstock fleets, and completing documentation, inspection reports, and check sheets. Requires Trade qualification with Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical Fitter); experience in rollingstock manufacturing/overhaul is desirable. Independent and team-oriented with strong organisational and communication skills. Full-time, permanent opportunity on the Fraser Coast.
