Trades Assistant (Skilled)

Perform routine and preventative maintenance tasks in the Engineering Department; provide hands-on trade support to the Chief Engineer and Assistant Engineer; assist with lamp replacements; restock medical gas bottles and maintain gas-store inventory on the laptop; carry mobile phone for contact during work hours; assist in keeping the Engineering workshop and plant rooms clean; restock imprest stock; work across patient ward rooms, operating theatres and plant rooms; read and interpret installation documentation; work independently while following verbal and written instructions; capable of walking long distances, climbing ladders and stairs, digging trenches, and lifting machinery and parts when required; complete Secondary Education and hold a current A Class Driver’s Licence; engineering trade certificates will be highly regarded; participate in Engineering on-call roster including weekdays, weekends and public holidays; overtime may be available.”,
