Trader II - Crude Oil

Job Summary
The Crude Oil Trader II will independently execute US domestic crude oil trades (including physical/logistical contracts) and optimize related assets. Responsibilities include managing daily positions within risk limits, identifying commercial opportunities, performing commercial/economic analysis for asset-backed strategies, and providing timely reporting of positions, P&L drivers, exposures, and trade rationale. Supports internal Mitsui crude trading teams, disseminates US crude market intelligence for the Texas/Gulf Coast region, and adheres to risk-management policies. Requires strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, familiarity with ETRM systems, excellent analytical and written/verbal communication skills, and the ability to work both in a team and autonomously.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of crude oil trading or related physical markets
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent related work experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Familiarity with ETRM systems
- Excellent analytical and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work in a team and independently
