Job Summary
Technical Operations role supporting Interactive Brokers' global brokerage platform. Responsible for monitoring the health of applications, networks, and systems; diagnosing, troubleshooting, and escalating brokerage system issues; participating in post-incident reviews; providing internal 2nd-level technical support; monitoring batch jobs and developing monitoring tools; acting as the primary escalation point for brokerage system issues; investigating and triaging real-time trade issues with internal and external parties. Requires strong English communication, Linux/Unix expertise, and ability to rotate day shifts in Hong Kong hours; hybrid work arrangement (4 days in office / 1 day remote). Preferred experience includes knowledge of securities/commodities markets, prior trade or support experience, scripting (Shell, Perl, Python), and a proactive, self-motivated approach.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's or apprenticeship in a technical discipline.
- Strong communication skills and fluency in English.
- Working knowledge of general computing concepts, networking, Linux/Unix operating systems, and related technologies.
- Ability to work day shifts during Hong Kong business hours, including weekends and public holidays on a rotational basis.
- 1 – 5 years of experience in Linux/Unix systems and incident management; fresh graduates with strong technical background will be considered.
